"Just Say NO to Jail."
Every criminal case is different, however, the common thread in any criminal case is that all alleged crimes are comprised of "elements" that each must be proven by the State in order to obtain a conviction. Competent criminal defense attorneys are aware of each of these specific elements of the alleged criminal offense, either through practice or research, and an aggressive attorney will ensure that you are found not guilty unless the State produces evidence to prove each element beyond a reasonable doubt.
It is also important to realize that aside from the actual trial of a criminal matter, an attorney can be helpful in a number of other ways. Some of the most common legal services I provide are related to getting a person released from incarceration before or after the trial, representing people in danger of losing their driver's license, and getting incarcerated persons into drug treatment instead of jail.
While I primarily appear in court in Baltimore City and the surrounding counties, I am regularly in court in Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore. If you have a criminal case in a jurisdiction outside of the Baltimore area, don't hesitate to contact me directly to discuss your options.
